Tuesday’s Lotto Max draw concluded in a historic win worth $80 million. It’s a new record for OLG and the Canadian lottery in general.

The all-time-high jackpot was split between two players – Quebec and Ontario residents. Both received $40 million to build the lives of their dreams. The win comes less than a month after a couple from Iroquois Falls, Ontario, hit a previous max jackpot of $70 million with their first-ever bought lottery ticket.

Lotto Max September the 17th draw was notable in many ways. OLG reported over 9 million participating tickets and 340+ thousand cash winners. The Main Prize draw ended up with 2 jackpot winners and 3 players with 6/7 right numbers + the bonus. The latter ones won $293.3 thousand each.

Main draw winning numbers were: 02, 04, 11, 16, 25, 29, 47, and 34.

The grand prize of $80 million attracted an unusually high number of players, which boosted the Maxmillions. It resulted in 15 winners with $500 thousand or $1-million-worth lottery tickets. The total pool reached $12 million.

Maxmillions results are available on the official website of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

OLG statistics on the Encore draw show over 320 thousand cash prizes, including one $1 million and three $100 thousand rewards. The winning tickets were sold in the Great Sudbury Area and Toronto, respectively.

The current $80-million jackpot record will probably last for a while. It may take weeks or even months before the prize reaches its maximum again. The next draw on Friday offers a $22-million main reward. That’s almost four times less than the previous one, but still a good deal for a $5 ticket.

Lotto Max is one of the main Canadian lottery events hosted by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. It features two weekly evening draws on Tuesday and Friday. The minimum Main draw jackpot is $10 million. Its size was capped at $70 million until recently, when OLG changed the rules and increased the max prize to $80 million.

Players can purchase Lotto Max and other lottery tickets from authorized land-based retailers or online. OLG also offers a mobile app with wide functionality. It allows players to buy tickets, check winnings, set reminders, and more. The app covers Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Daily Grand, and other OLG lotteries.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation promotes responsible gambling throughout all its services, including lottery. It offers players an in-house developed Play.Smart platform and closely cooperates with ConnexOntario to provide aid for those who need it.
